With Christmas just around the corner, it's time to wind down! But before Santa visits, there are still a few things to take care of. Here are five ways to prepare for the holiday season: ⭐ Communicate with your customers or clients, in late November or early December, to inform them of upcoming staff leave, or the company shutdown period (if applicable). Share details of who to contact in your absence. ⭐ For service-based businesses, prompt your clients for any projects to minimise last minute requests over the holiday period. ⭐ Include key details such as leave or office closure, in your email footer, on social media, in your Google listing and exterior signage. ⭐ Set up auto-responding emails that clearly state when you will return to work, and who to contact until then if your client or customer needs assistance. ⭐ Confirm if any invoices are due during your leave and arrange for payment in advance or direct debit to maintain services while you are away.
