😀 Yesterday we were thrilled to be part of the #postersession at the QSolid #CollaborationMeeting, where we presented some of our #research and #development. Our poster focuses on the fascinating field of #magnetism and #spin physics in molecules. 💡 These #quantum mechanical effects often require advanced methods for accurate description, which can be hidden in standard quantum chemistry models. Our dual approach aims to shed light on this complex subject. #quantumchem #quantumsimulation #quantumcomputing

MLIPs can accurately and efficiently predict interactions between atoms in materials and molecules, by learning them from a reference database, and have been applied to various fields of physical science. The framework consists of two stages: first, using classical molecular dynamics simulations to generate unlabelled configurations of the target molecular system; and second, applying geometry-enhanced self-supervised learning techniques, including masking, denoising and contrastive learning, to capture structural information. #simulation #machinelearning #atoms #materials #molecules https://lnkd.in/d52jGnAC

You can now solve 1D heat equations with our new #quantum algorithm. We recently updated our quantum demo to include the imaginary-time Quantum Linear Solver (itQLS). Put short, it’s a new way of solving linear systems of equations with quantum computers, where as opposed to the established methods, we redefine the problem so that the the solution with the lowest energy becomes the optimal one. We have linked the demo in the comments that includes a detailed introduction to the #itQLS with of course the opportunity to test the algorithm in action. The ongoing research we’re conducting with the itQLS is a part of our idea of merging itQLS with standard methods like #FEM. This, of course, being a part of our big picture plan of harnessing the power of quantum computers for multiphysics simulations to not only bring runtime from weeks to hours like now, but from hours to real-time. For the time being, we invite you to explore our quantum demo by signing up from the link in the comments!

Efi Safikou evolves inferential sensors with a fusion of information theory and symbolic regression through genetic programming to improve the fault detection and isolation of a plate fin heat exchanger. A beautiful little piece of work that opened new directions in our research on system diagnostics and prognostics and newer work on the discovery of physics from data.
