Trust me, I fully understand what he is trying to say and convince the people about and ofcourse it is good that inflation goes down, but there is one highly important aspect that is left out in this equation. #Oliveoil has still increased in price with 100% and cost 15€/bottle and now the only difference is that the price will continue to increase but only in a slower pace. I cannot even enter the supermarket without having to spend 25€ and what do I get for that amount? But no worries, next year the Government tells me this visit will only cost me 25,85€ when it used to cost me around 12,50€. Some positive news today about inflation and experts expect it to fall to the Bank of England’s 2% target rate within the next 2-3months. Unlikely there would be any change to interest rates tomorrow when the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meets, but it’s certainly encouraging to see inflation on a downward trend 📉. Hopefully, interest rates follow suit, which should result in a greater level of activity in the housing market and help more first time buyers especially, achieve their dreams of owning their homes. #inflation #interestrates

Some good news on inflation as the PM claims credit below. It would be useful to over lay this chart to show interest rates which are squeezing the cash and “lifeblood” out of family and business budgets. Get rates down to 3.5% and maintain inflation at less than 3.5% and then we’ll all be making progress.
