These are all fine platitudes, but KPI's are not meant to be vehicles for that. They're critical data points (hopefully well-selected) that you optimize in order to grow.

While many companies use KPIs to measure their employee's performance, I couldn't agree more that we need them for companies too. If organizations developed these KPIs for the organization, they may not struggle as much with retention. Employee loyalty is a thing of the past. Organizations need to work harder to keep their employees interested, inspired, involved and informed!
