Encrypted disk using BitLocker on Windows

- [Instructor] Windows has a built in feature called BitLocker, that lets us create a whole disk that's encrypted. BitLocker is available in the Pro, Enterprise, and Education versions of Windows 10, as well as a variety of editions of earlier versions of Windows. In order to enable BitLocker on a disk, the disk needs to be initialized as a BitLocker device, which creates a BitLocker partition that can contain a FAT32, exFAT or NTFS file system. If you're using NTFS, you can also enable EFS on the disk to provide additional protection. If you already have a disk with data on it that you want to encrypt, you can encrypt the disk in place, or you can create a newly formatted disk and enable BitLocker on it. When I'm ready to encrypt a disk, I can find it in Explorer. Right click it and choose turn on BitLocker. This opens up a series of screens that will guide us through setting up this device as a BitLocker volume.…
