- [Instructor] So let's take a look at how we can create a layered shader and apply it to a surface. So we're going to go up to Object Display, Diagnostic Shading, we'll switch on Vis1, We're going to go up to Render, Multi Lister, Shaders, and we're going to switch from Default to Visualization here, and you'll notice that every session of Alias starts with a default environment and a default shader, and we're going to create some new shaders and stack them on top of each other in layered shader and apply them to this surface. So to create a new layered shader, we're going to go to Edit, New Layered Shader, double-click, just down here, I'm going to change the name to Body, and then we're going to double-click and with a layered shader, that will open up a new dialog box, and this is where we're going to stack our shaders.
