- [Instructor] Almost all of the Power Apps that are created use some type of data stored in a separate data source, not in the app. There are three broad types of data sources. First, connected data sources. This refers to data sources that are stored somewhere in the cloud. We get data from these sources using a connection, which is why they're called connected data sources. And this is the most common type of data source that we use in Power Apps. The second choice is a local data source. When you use a local data source for your app, Power Apps creates its own table to house that data that you are working on through the application. The downside is that when you create a local data source, it's not available to other people who might want to use the app. So if you want an app's data to be shared among different users, that rules out local data sources.
