Configure Azure Load Balancer

Azure has a few load balancing services and there's two of them you're responsible for on your exam. The first is called Azure Load Balancer. It's a general purpose load balancer that's good for VM workloads. It needs to be created in the same region as VMS or a VMS scale set that you put in what's called the backend pool, as we'll talk about soon. It operates at network layer four, which means it looks at the source IP and port and destination IP and port along with the protocol to determine how to do routing. So typically for a load balancer, as you might load balance port 80 or port 443, perhaps a custom port depending on the application. When you set up a load balancer, there's a few choices you need to know and choose at the outset. The first is whether you want a public load balancer.
