Manage external access
- [Instructor] With Microsoft Teams external access, Teams users from other domains can connect with you in your Teams, chats, and calls. You can also allow other external users who are still using Skype for Business Online or Skype for Business Server. You should use external access, however, when you have users in different domains in your business, for example, if you had Rob@contoso.com and Ann@northwindtraders.com, and you want anyone else in the world who uses Teams to be able to find and contact you using just your email address. Now, this only works, of course, if you have an email address that is licensed for Teams, and you must both enable external access in order to be found. There's several different scenarios where we can configure external access for organizations. The first one would be when you can use open Federation.
