- [Narrator] Messaging extensions allows users to interact with a web service through buttons and forums in the Microsoft Teams client. They can search or initiate actions in an external system from the compose message area. And you can send back those results, the interaction to the Microsoft Teams client in the form of a richly formatted document or other application. Here we can see some scenarios where we might use messaging extensions, such as you want some external system to do an action and the result of that action to be sent back to your conversation, such as reserving a resource and allowing the channel to know the reserved time slot. So if you're going to reserve a resource such as a television or some other resource that you have in your organization, maybe a conference room, then you're going to want that information then posted into Teams so everybody in the Team will know what time they can get that…
