Well the main point is to learn modeling. But adding a previously made object is not fair. If you show advanced modeling, show every last detail. I understand that we are suppose to learn on our own, but some difficult and complex parts are not shown - yet its expected of you to finish it. Iv made them, but boy it took me a while, to get there. Just that i don't like not having everything explained in details, since we are lacking direct communication where we can ask in case we are stuck.

Course details
Enhance your Maya skill set by learning about advanced techniques and tools that can help you approach modeling nearly any shape with confidence. In this course, instructor Andy Beane dives deep into modeling with Maya. He starts with an overview of modeling basics, before moving on to creating some specific models of a leather chair, a side table, and several other small room objects like walls, floors, books, bookshelves, and picture frames. Finally, he puts the whole room together by cleaning up all the files, importing the individual files into a single file, and adding the final camera shot.
