Preparing for your interview

- [Instructor] LinkedIn is a great place to go when preparing for a job interview. Not only is it the perfect tool for researching a company or people that you'll be interviewing with, but you also have access to the interview prep tools. With LinkedIn's Interview Prep, you can learn from experts how to answer top interview questions for the role you want. To access these tools, click the Jobs button in the navigation bar and here on the left, select Interview prep. Here you can find over 300 of the most common behavioral and technical interview questions. Use the Category menu at the top to view the most common questions across more than a dozen types of roles. Within each question, you'll find an overview of why interviewers ask this question and what they're looking for in your response as well as an answer framework and tips to help you build thoughtful responses. And as a premium member, you get access to sample answers that have been designed by hiring experts and subject matter leaders. These sample answers are examples of well-structured and thoughtful responses and include an explanation of why this answer worked well. After you've had a chance to read or watch a few sample answers, you can use the interview prep tool to practice answering that question yourself live. Click the Practice and get feedback button and select your preferred delivery method of either recording a video of yourself or providing a written response. Your practice answer stays private to you unless you send it to a colleague of your choosing. If you choose a video response, you'll be able to receive realtime AI-powered feedback on your delivery and tone, your words per minute, pitch variation, number of fill words, sensitive phrases, speech refinements, and the number of times you hit an answer tip. Keep in mind that to receive this feedback, your video must be at least eight seconds long. With the Interview Prep tool on LinkedIn, you can walk into your next interview with confidence.
