Access Applicant Insights

- [Instructor] For premium members, Applicant Insights are found throughout LinkedIn's job search platform, providing data and insights on how your profile performs, and where you can improve. When browsing job search results for example, you can access full applicant insights for any open job, by scrolling down through the job description. Here you can see how your profile compares to others, the total number of applicants for the job, and an aggregated view of applicants' seniority, education level, and locations. Be sure to review the most common applicant skills section to see which skills you have and where you may have gaps. Just below Applicant Insights, you'll see Company Insights, which shows you data and insights on the company's latest hiring trends, candidates with similar backgrounds to yours and more. You can use this information in a few ways. For example, you can view hired candidates from these companies and schools to find professionals who have a similar work or education background as you. This can provide you with an easy next step to network with people at this company. Even if you're not connected with anyone, you can send them an in-mail and mention your shared experience as something you have in common. Also, be sure to click see more premium insights to view additional insights on the company, including employee distribution and headcount growth by function, new hire trends, notable company alumni, and total job openings by function. This lets you quickly visualize the health of the company and understand where the company has been investing their headcount. And you can find these trends on any company by clicking the Insights Tab at the top section of a company page.
