- [Instructor] Lightroom has three tools to apply local adjustments to a photo. We have the brush tool, the leaner grading tool and the radio grading tool. Let's look at the brush tool first, with the brush tool you can paint directly over your photos to determine what areas will be controlled by the localized adjustments. Those are the sliders that you see here in this panel. To create a new localized adjustment, make sure that you have the start new brush icon enabled and simply paint over the areas that you would like to adjust. In this case, we want to adjust the red areas of her dress. Start by adjusting the brush size, You can click and drag the size slider to increase or decrease the brush size.
