Make your images pop with the Texture and Clarity sliders

- Lightroom has two fantastic sliders that can make dull photos pop and make them more impactful. From the Edit Workspace, you can open the Effects panel. Here, you will see the texture and clarity sliders. The texture slider allows you to smoothen or accentuate details on a photo, such as skin, bark and hair. Dragging the texture slider to the right will enhance details in your image without affecting less detailed areas, like the other focus areas in a photo. The texture slider creates the illusion of more detail and texture by adding contrast to mid-frequency areas. When working with portraits, you can drag the texture slider to the left to smooth skin and retain fine pore details to ensure natural looking skin. It's important to note that the texture slider does not change the color or tonality in your photos.
