- [Announcer] The IT service desk is the main point of contact for end users when issues or queries arise, so you will encounter a lot of questions around software. Software issues to carry out specific tasks ranging from helping people to send and receive emails to more bespoke, say invoicing software. Every business will issue standard software to everyone within the company, such as Microsoft Office. Then there will be software that is allocated only to certain people. The IT service desk receives calls from people throughout the business when they either have a query about how to perform a task inside a bit of software or when there is an issue. Depending on how your IT department handles such a quest, you may also receive calls from people requesting access to software.
