- I always thought that the world of publishing would be kind of magic, and everybody would be really nice. And they actually are. So it has been an absolute joy to be part of this world. And therefore, you know, again, I think it's very important to pay that forward. It's also very important to remember that you are only as good as your last book. So where you might be flying high one year. You might not be flying so high the next year. So remember to be kind and courteous, and grateful and professional. Really, really important to be professional because editors and publishers and agents like working with professional people. If you say, you're going to deliver the book, deliver the book. If you have a deadline, meet the deadline. If you hate your cover, be nice about it. Say I really don't like the cover because um. Again, you have to be professional. And the cover has to be something that you like. But again…
