Converting fonts to different forms with TransType Pro
- [Instructor] Earlier in this series, we learned about the various types of fonts and how some font formats are not cross platform compatible. For example, PostScript type one fonts on a Mac won't work in Windows and vice versa. So if you're using a type one PostScript font and you need to share it with someone on another platform, you'll probably need to convert the font to a different format. One of the tools that you can use for this purpose is TransType Pro by FontLab. It can be used to convert several different font file formats to cross platform OpenType fonts, Webfonts, and even back to type one PostScript fonts if you need to. You can also customize fonts by arranging font families, change font names and other information, and apply special effects. So let's check it out.
