- Something important to keep in mind when you're writing formulas. Okay, you can write really big, complex formulas. They will take up one cell. There won't be a bunch of helper columns or things hidden in hidden columns or rows or on other sheets. The challenge is when you've got this big maze of functions and parentheses, in six months or two years will you know what you did?
