Writing formulas for "future you"

- Something important to keep in mind when you're writing formulas. Okay, you can write really big, complex formulas. They will take up one cell. There won't be a bunch of helper columns or things hidden in hidden columns or rows or on other sheets. The challenge is when you've got this big maze of functions and parentheses, in six months or two years will you know what you did? That is something that's bitten a lot of developers and Excel users. You write this really exciting formula and then you think back, what did I do? Why did I do it that way? But if that's not a problem, okay, fine. But think about it. Think about whether you want a big monster formula or do you want several helper cells or helper columns that will be easier to understand later, they can be easier to troubleshoot.
