- Once you've decided on a business model and you've picked a niche, it's time to think about exactly who you're going to sell your product to because who you think is going to buy your product will determine the type of language and branding you use to get people to your site and checkout. Let's look at an example. Outlery is miniature cutlery that you can bring with you anywhere. When you think about portable cutlery, I can think about three possible groups of people. There are people who travel for work frequently and want to be prepared for anything. There are people who camp and need easy-to-use and easy-to-pack cutlery, and there are people who try to avoid plastic cutlery to save the Earth, and all of these could be valid target customers and could be successful products.
