- We talked about a ton of different e-commerce business models, but what do they look like in the real world? Let's go through an example for each model. One of the most well known drop shippers is Wayfair. Currently, they have warehouses for some of their products, but back in 2012 most of their products were shipped directly from suppliers. It's impressive that they can coordinate between 4,000 suppliers to offer anything under the home goods umbrella. They've built infrastructure around those suppliers to more effectively manage all aspects, including the complex shipping, logistics, and returns.
