How community outreach plays a role in DEIB
- I want you to imagine the last time you helped someone in need, and that could be physically or financially. Now, imagine what that can look like at an organizational level. When considering the communities in which they operate, it's important to look around and see how the company can assist those in need. Your employees are also paying attention to where companies invest their money in support of local communities. And remember, many of your employees live in those communities too, resulting in their work life and home life intersecting on a regular basis. Serving the communities your organization supports can show up in a variety of ways. I encourage you to find what works for your company and aligns with your core values and DEIB commitments.
