- [Male Instructor] In this project, I'll show how to create this gig poster for a fictitious band at a famous venue in London that, sadly, no longer exists. And I'll be using Adobe Illustrator for this in conjunction with Adobe Photoshop. I'm using Illustrator because of it's strong typographic feature set. And I'm using Photoshop to add the texture as one of the final steps. Let's now switch over to Illustrator. I should just mention that I've changed a preference. If we look in the general preferences, I've chosen to use the legacy file new interface. And I'm also choosing to not see the start workspace when no documents are open, so if your interface looks slightly different to mine those are the reasons why. File and new. Now the size I want to use here is an international paper size of A3. If you are creating this in the U.S. then you'll want to use the equivalent size of tabloid. Slightly different but very similar.
