Creating tread with the pattern brush
- [Instructor] So we have seen how we can take some artwork and make it into a pattern and then integrate that pattern with the type and modify the scale and the direction of that pattern. Let's now take a slightly different approach. And I have a different version here, it's in landscape format. I want to use the same sort of graphic device. I want a bicycle tire tread going across my poster, but I'd like it to be curved in this case and using a pattern is not going to work. So instead I'm going to use a Pattern Brush. I'll begin with the same source artwork. This is from Adobe Stock. I'll choose the fourth of these different bicycle tire treads. And copy this, move to my work in progress and paste it. I'll drag it over onto the paste board. And now I'm going to open up my Brushes panel and expand that and tear it off, so that we can keep an eye on that as we go along. Now I've got to make this into a Pattern Brush and we'll see that there are a few things that I need to modify in…
