Create row-level security (RLS) roles
- [Instructor] Okay, so we are back down on our Power BI Desktop, and this is where we need to go and create our role-level security initially and get the rules configured. So let's go ahead and get our roles set up first. So I'm just going to go ahead to the Modeling tab, click on Manage roles, and now I get my managed security rules dialogue box come popping up. And the first thing I want to do is I'm going to go through and create a new role by clicking New and just double clicking here. I'm going to say North America Controller. So that's the very first role we're going to create. So let's go ahead and define that role. So I'm going to go to Sales Territory, and I click on Add. And what we're going to say here is Any, so whenever any of these rules are true, I want to go through and say Sales Territory Country, if it equals Canada.
