- [Instructor] In addition to migrating servers and applications, your data is the other major component that you will need to migrate to the cloud. Situations like cloud migration, disaster recovery, and data center relocation can involve large amounts of data. Moving large amounts of data over the network can be time consuming and expensive. And these problems are amplified if the location has no connectivity at all. AWS Snow Family is a collection of physical devices that help migrate large amounts of data into and out of the cloud without depending on networks. The Snow Family has three types of devices, AWS Snowcone, AWS Snowball, and AWS Snowmobile. AWS Snowcone is the smallest of the three, and you can use it to transfer up to 8 TB or 14 TB of data to the AWS cloud by shipping the device back to AWS.
