- [Instructor] As if traditional security threats weren't enough, we now have a new breed of security concerns emerging due to advancements in artificial intelligence. Deepfakes. This is an issue that is getting a lot of attention at the federal level. For instance, in June, 2022, the FBI issued a warning about the increase of deepfakes and stolen personal information as it pertained to applications for remote work. The warning reported use of voice spoofing or voice deepfakes pretending to be another person. The Better Business Bureau also recognizes the use of AI to create videos and audio to spread misinformation. Deepfakes impersonating politicians and celebrities are made to trick innocent people into believing a certain ideology or buying a commercial product.
