Grids and graph grids

- [Kyle] We can take a look at grids, they are the second category here in the Precision panel. If I turn them on, you'll notice that by default my grid type is a graph. Now, there are several things you can do with these graph grids. The first is you can change the opacity of the grid with this slider here, so you can make it darker or lighter. The second thing you can do is you can change the grid color simply by tapping on this rectangle. Now you have all of the colors available to you that you would normally have from your color wheel. The third thing is the spacing of the grid. If I slide up, I can decrease the size of the spacing, and if I slide down, I can increase it, but you can also simply tap and you can enter manually any number that you wish. Now, at the moment, there's no snapping with grids, that means that I'm still going to be drawing freeform. Let's just grab a brush here, such as the Hard Round variable, and you'll notice that no snapping is occurring when I draw on the grid. But one of the things that's useful about this grid is it can tell me exactly how far apart different lines are, so that if I wish to draw a line here and then keep it equidistant from the lines that are next to it, I can do so. So at the moment, grids serve as a guide rather than an actual drawing aid that will snap to anything, however, that feature is coming soon.
