The content dimension of your writing

- While I was an editor at the Wall Street Journal, every day, reporters across the world would send me their articles to edit. And when they did so, I'd get to work trying to make the writing in those articles read more simply, clearly, elegantly, and evocatively, often for a global audience of millions of people. As an editor, though, I also looked at articles through another lens, one that helped me to achieve an even better edit, and that was the four-dimensions lens that I talked about, where I looked at the dimensions of content, structure, style, and presentation, individually. Now, it may help to think of these as four layers that are superimposed on one another. The first of those layers, as I said, is the actual content dimension of your text, which is what we're going to look at in this lesson.
