How to make your writing straightforward

- I often discover while writing something that many of my sentences are more complicated than they need to be. This is quite normal because ideas when we first write them down don't tend to come out perfectly. They usually need to be sculpted into shape so that they become more engaging. Now, our work as elite writers is to notice such unnecessarily complicated sentences and then try to simplify them as much as possible. It's the same way a math student might be asked to take a complicated equation and simplify it for ease of calculation. First, simplifying, for example; 2x plus x equals 30, to say 3x equals 30 and then to say X equals 10, which is of course the simplest form. Now remember, as aspiring, exceptional writers as our aim should be to make our pros a pleasure to read never a burden, and therefore taking the time to uncomplicate sentences is usually well worth the effort.
