We are seeking an attentive and personable team-player to join our Practice as a full-time X-ray Technologist. This individual will be responsible for performing orthopedic imaging using a Philips DuraDiagnost to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of our patients. While the position is primarily located at our McDonough facility, the ideal candidate will be willing to intermittently assist at our Decatur facility as well for coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate X-ray scanners, following all safety guidelines, for all procedures.
Select appropriate imaging techniques and positioning to produce required images.
Conduct screening interviews of patients to identify contraindications, such as pregnancy.
Explain X-ray procedures to patients, patient representatives, or family members.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to the X-ray scanner or peripheral equipment, such as monitors or detectors.
Test X-ray equipment to ensure proper functioning and performance in accordance with specifications.
Provides images, reports, and communication with the radiologist and attending Physician.
Attend to the general cleanliness and stocking of inventory in the X-ray suite.
Uploading X-ray reports to EMR and PACs.
Updates supply list for inventory needs
Assist with various administrative and clinical duties as needed, including check in/out, and call center
Qualifications:
Successful completion of an ARRT approved educational program
ARRT certification preferred
Be able to obtain a BLS/CPR certification within first 60 days of employment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
