The Business Enterprise Program has priority (IC 12-12-5-1) on governmental property to provide concessions services when required. The incumbent will be responsible for educating governmental agencies of the priority as well as site assess each location to make sure the site can provide a reasonable rate of return.
Respondent will be required to research and navigate governmental facilities to educate governmental agencies and/or building authorities on the Randolph Sheppard Act(Federal)/ IC 12-12-5-1(State) priority. This priority gives first right of refusal for government locations who are interested in concessions services, must offer these opportunities to the Business Enterprise Program first. The BEP is a unique government program. It creates opportunities and ongoing support for individuals who are blind or visually impaired to manage their own business. We currently operate snack bars, cafeterias, and full-service vending machines at a variety of locations across the State. The locations primarily served include military bases, highway rest areas, Department of Corrections facilities, post offices, and other government buildings. Respondent will be responsible for developing these opportunities through the entire state on Indiana.
