Workday (time and payroll) analyst

Location: Remote Role (candidate should be available PST and CST time zone)

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Act as an SME for deploying time clocks and attendance reporting, working closely with the Business Analysts & cross functional teams.
  • Guide the alignment of local business requirements and the pre-established template for time recording (using time clocks) and attendance reporting.
  • Lead the configuration (and/or provide support to consultants) of Workday Time Tracking, Reporting, and Integrations to modify current configuration to support new time clock processes.
  • Manage business processes design/impact analysis during design, build, and test phases.
  • Provide knowledge to business on Workday time clock event processes.
  • Participate and support integration and end-to-end test cycles with the ability to resolve defects within Workday.
  • Deployment and user adoption of time clocks and reporting tools. Identify user adoption pain points and work with business users to address them.
  • Understand the projects business requirements and timelines and drive closure of design issues to meet the projects go live dates.

Generic Managerial Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of Workday Time Tracking and Time Off experience in an analyst, configurator, or technical lead role.
  • Must have a minimum of two full Time Tracking or Time Off deployment projects experience (design through go-live).
  • Must be able to demonstrate Time Tracking technical expertise, specifically regarding the deployment of integrated time clock systems (eg: dormakaba Bcomm).
  • Expertise in the full Workday Time Tracking domain is expected: configuration, security, integrations, and reporting.
  • Exposure to Workday native API/webservices such as Get Workers or Put Time Clock Events.
  • Thorough understanding of time tracking business processes from time entry/clocking through payroll processing.
  • Expertise in manager time worklets and views of time including Review Time.
  • Experience configuring time and attendance reporting and dashboards.
  • Good overall Workday expertise.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a multi-disciplinary project team.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Self-starter and proactive, including managing deliverables, able to work independently, understanding timelines and deadlines with minimal guidance.

Education

  • Time Administrator or Payroll Administrator, or related experience.
  • Computer Science, Information Technology, or Finance (or related subjects) college degree
