Workday Reporting Analyst
Job Summary: The Workday Reporting Analyst will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing reports and dashboards within the Workday system. This role will support various departments by providing accurate, timely, and insightful data that informs decision-making and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate business needs into effective Workday reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Report Creation and Management:
- Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and data extracts in Workday.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of all reports and data outputs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver solutions that meet those requirements.
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Analyze data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business objectives.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to help drive strategic decisions.
- Present data findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
System Optimization:
- Continuously review and improve reporting processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with Workday releases and enhancements to leverage new reporting capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices.
Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to end-users on Workday reporting functionalities.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including report catalogs, user guides, and training materials.
- Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues and queries from end-users.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with HR, Finance, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment of reporting activities with organizational goals.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, providing reporting expertise and insights.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership, providing updates on reporting activities and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Workday Reporting Analyst or in a similar role with Workday reporting responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of Workday reporting tools, including Report Writer, Calculated Fields, and dashboards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Workday Pro) are a plus.
