WordPress Marketing Platform Developer Lead

Our catalog of over 8,000 original programs, licensed documentaries, and films covers many topics, including yoga, spirituality, and the esoteric.


Responsibilities

The WordPress Marketing Platform Developer Lead will lead the design, development, and maintenance of our WordPress platform. This platform enables marketing colleagues to rapidly create, maintain, and iterate on marketing assets such as an anonymous homepage, landing pages, and marketing funnels. The platform provides a variety of reusable, scalable, responsive, and high-performance templates and widgets. This individual will work closely with marketing colleagues, at least one WordPress Platform Developer, and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has a strong background in WordPress and web development, a passion for results, a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, and a dedication to serving and being responsive to their marketing colleagues.


Required Skills


Professional Experience:

  • At least 7 years of professional software development experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a high-growth company (annual revenue > $50mm and growth rate > 20% per year).


Technical Skills:

  • WordPress
  • JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • MySQL, Relational Database Modelling, and SQL
  • REST and GraphQL APIs


Experience:

  • A/B test platforms (e.g., Optimizely)
  • Mentoring software developers
  • CI/CD, unit, and integration tests
  • Instrumenting application monitoring and alerting
  • Technical on-call experience using monitoring/alerting dashboards


Soft Skills:

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with emotional intelligence
  • Practical, pragmatic, and results-oriented attitude
  • Effective task and project management, ensuring timely delivery
  • Aptitude for quick learning and handling multiple projects under deadlines
