Job Title: Windows Server Support Specialist

Location: Remote

Responsibilities

We are seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • Install, set up, and maintain Windows server operating systems and associated software.
  • Monitor server performance and reliability, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Execute system upgrades and patches while ensuring compliance with security policies and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and fix server-related problems, encompassing both hardware and software failures.
  • Establish and manage server backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to seamlessly integrate server systems with other infrastructure components.
  • Aid in designing and implementing enhancements and improvements to server infrastructure.
  • Develop and update documentation for server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and fellow IT staff as required.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in Windows server administration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience in Windows server administration, covering installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Solid grasp of server hardware, operating systems, and networking principles.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation purposes.
  • Knowledge of server monitoring and management tools like Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) is beneficial.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to efficiently diagnose and resolve server-related issues.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Dedication to ongoing learning and professional development.
