Job Summary:
The Wholesale Manager reports directly to the Head of Sales & Product Training, overseeing the wholesale operations.
The Wholesale Manager's primary focus will be on achieving order distribution and quality control objectives. Successful management of team members and tracking systems is essential, and you will play a key role in making recommendations to optimize inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking and forecasting. Acting as a liaison to other departments, you will also provide oversight for the wholesale administration team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The Wholesale Manager’s responsibilities are pivotal in maintaining a high standard of quality and efficiency within the wholesale division. This role isn’t just about overseeing logistics; it’s about ensuring seamless operations to align with iAnthus’ overall goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute company policies and procedures pertaining to inventory, distribution, and quality control
Conduct periodic inventory audits of all products to reconcile physical to book. Investigate discrepancies, perform necessary adjustments, and generate monthly summary variance reports for management, identifying and explaining root causes for continuous process improvements
Collaborate with work area supervisors to ensure strict adherence to state and local regulations, and internal policies and procedures relating to inventory, distribution, and quality control. Proactively identify and rectify any compliance gaps
Manage the consistent quality line of supply, product par levels, and minimal out-of-stocks. Foster timely communication with operational areas to streamline processes and establish, maintain, and assess inventory turnover goals and objectives
Hire, train, and manage the wholesale administration, inventory, and quality control team
Awareness of, understanding of, and implementation of all NAC and NRA pertaining to the inventory, distribution, and quality control of cannabis from seed to sale
Maintain all documentation required by governmental agencies for 5 years or until given written permission to dispose
Ensure incoming products (both company and wholesale purchase) are received and managed appropriately according to implemented company policies and procedures
Approve or reject cannabis products whether manufactured, processed or packaged internally or by another vendor
Manage obsolete inventory and make recommendations for disposal or transfer to ensure highest cost recovery or minimum loss
Operate and manage inventory tracking system to streamline business operations
Continued development and implementation of wholesale, inventory, and distribution SOPs and best practices

Qualifications:
Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older (18 in NY)
Bachelor's degree required
Must consent to a criminal background check
Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of the criminal background check
Must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and proof of valid auto insurance
Minimum of three years’ experience in cannabis inventory, distribution, and operational procedures and best practices
Minimum of two years’ supervisory experience
Expert knowledge of state-specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance is non-negotiable
Able to direct, coach, support, and delegate tasks to team members and effectively collaborate with management
Understanding of comprehensive supply chain and distribution environments
Computer expertise in cannabis POS systems, ICS management, and Excel
Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong organizational skills are essential
Effective decision-making skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Analytical mindset and keen attention to detail
Able to multi-task and work independently
Able to issue and explain instructions effectively
Demonstrated expertise in leadership roles
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must
