ABOUT THE POSITION:

DIFF Charitable Eyewear is looking for a Wholesale Associate Planner who will be responsible for demand planning and analysis, inventory management, and performance reporting through major department store portals to determine customer store demand and merchandising recommendations. 

This role will be forecasting weekly and monthly reviewing turns for Majors and Boutique/Specialty business. In addition, the Associate Planner will help drive the wholesale team's success by providing insight and analysis into detailed planning KPIs at a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly level. The right candidate will be detail oriented, analytical and work well in a team environment.


OTHER STUFF YOU’LL GET TO DO: 

  • Assortment and Demand planning for Wholesale channels.  Majors, Boutique, and Off Price, among others.  
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of market trends, competitor analysis and product development opportunities to grow the DIFF wholesale business by channel. 
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross functional team members
  • Create and manage annual & seasonal budgets by wholesale channels that tie back to financial targets in partnership with VPof Sales, Merchandising, and Finance. Partner with the Wholesale rep/ team to ensure budgets are in line with their expectations.
  • Partner with Sales to create seasonal by door budget projections.
  • Create seasonal assortment plans that help support the overall wholesale channel using historical and current market trends.
  • Meet with top accounts on a monthly/bi-monthly basis to review business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain annual, seasonal, and monthly merchandise plans for the wholesale team. For a Sku intensive business. 
  • Develop and manage monthly OTB by account to provide accurate sales and markdown forecasts and make recommendations on MDs, RTVs, and VA impact.
  • Quantify in-season risks and opportunities and make recommendations to the buying team. Monitor and react to replenishment styles.
  • Analyze weekly selling reports from key accounts, identify in-season and future opportunities to drive sales performance.
  • Re-forecast annual budget each month based on shipping trends, cancellations, reorders, off price, etc.
  • Inventory management ensures adequate weeks of supply and sell throughs. 
  • Assist logistics/customer service in tracking all RTVs from EOS and special agreements.
  • Analyze and communicate out sales performance, inventory, and profitability on a monthly and quarterly basis. Lead in seasonal business meetings with majors accounts.
  • Validate monthly and EOS profitability and maintain EOS projection.
  • Create category and account level quarterly hindsight reports to drive strategic assortment decisions for future investments
  • Report Daily Sales activity and reconcile daily sales to outbound warehouse shipping logs to ensure proper invoicing.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of merchandise planning and inventory management experience. Wholesale experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree, fashion merchandising or business/finance degree preferred
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of an ERP system, NetSuite preferred.
  • Organized and proactive, with a sense of prioritization and attention to detail
  • Communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork skills with the ability to manage cross-functional relations; work collaboratively to drive results.
  • Solid understanding of financial measurements including: sales, gross margin, inventory turn, ST%, weeks of supply and how to impact them
