Repsol's is seeking a new professional to join the Eagle Ford Well Services Team as a Well Interventions Engineer. This position will be based out of Repsol's Eagle Ford Business Unit field office located in Three Rivers, Texas. This role is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate with a few years of experience to further develop your knowledge and experience, while directly supporting an operated asset for a global energy company.
The Well Interventions Engineer is responsible for the successful and efficient management of the critical functions within the Well Services group. The Well Interventions Engineer's duties directly impact the daily well activities such as slickline, swabbing jobs, coil tubing, workover, P&A, and any additional services which support operations in Repsol’s acreage.

A formal education (bachelor degree or higher) and a foundational experience in unconventional projects are both necessary for this role.

Key Responsibilities
Well Planning
- Assist in the planning and coordinating of all well intervention and workover activities.
- Well interventions schedule development of upcoming activities within the asset.
- In coordination with the Well Services Supervisor, manage specific service needs with field personnel
- Attend and, when needed, facilitate the morning Well Services operations meetings
- Assist in writing procedures for needed tasks and be on call to discuss activities that deviate from the procedure.
- Manage program costs, invoicing, SAP initiatives, OpenWells, and tracking of CapEx/OpEx budgets
- Manage vendor contracts directly with suppliers, internal supply chain management teams, and Eagle Ford asset personnel
- Coordinates spend, resource availability, and contract terms and status with service companies
- Be available for field work, as needed with supervision provided by Well Services Technicians
- Implement Repsol safety guidelines and procedures, as needed and ensure all 3rd party representatives are in compliance
A formal education (bachelor degree or higher) and a foundational experience in unconventional projects are both necessary for this role.
- Engineering degree is preferred but degrees in other disciplines may be considered with additional years of applicable experience.
- Well control certification is required. Candidates who are not certificated may be considered, but must complete this requirement upon hire (with Repsol's assistance)
- Must have at least 1+ years of experience in well interventions and workover operations
- Must have at least 3+ years of experience within the oil and gas industry, which includes experience specifically in unconventional projects
- Strong Operational competencies in slickline, swabbing, workover, and snubbing.
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to learn new software and processes quickly (technically agile).
- Strong Microsoft applications skills especially in Excel.
- Good management and organizational skills.
- Fully authorized to work full time for any employer in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. Additionally, we are not authorized for full time employment under OPT/CPT/F1 visa programs.
- Have the ability to be flexible and adjust plans accordingly
- Being able to multitask and keep good notes
- Detailed oriented and able to create clear reports on daily basis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Teamwork, strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Attitude of continuous improvement
- Self-motivated, able to work productively with little supervision
- Ability to self-start and manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines

- Strong organizational, time management capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience working in multicultural environments
- Exempt, full time salaried, based out of Three Rivers, Texas field office, with occasional visits to field sites.
- Candidates should be able to reasonably commute to the office in Three Rivers, Texas as required for the role. Nonlocal candidates may be considered; however, position does not include relocation support.
- The schedule will be discussed with and confirmed by the hiring manager upon hire and may fluctuate based on business or training needs.
