Position Overview: We are looking for a talented and passionate welder/fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in industrial welding, the ability to read prints and have mechanical aptitude. A background working with or around electrical systems is ideal but not required.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with mechanical engineers and project managers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems
Fabricate and assemble components used in overhead crane production and material handling equipment.
Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
Use of overhead cranes, fork trucks, and jacks to align components for welding. (Training available)
Weld components using welding equipment in various positions per technical drawings
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.) Requirements:
Proven experience as a welder with attention to detail
Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 pounds
Participation in our 24/7 on-call rotation
Some out-of-town travel
Ability to work independently and in a team environment safely
Supply your own basic hand tools. (wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of a certified welding school, or equivalent experience
Ability to work at heights of 20-40 feet while operating a scissor or boom lift
