Weekend Shift Press Brake Operator (Friday-Sunday, 1pm-1:30am)

HIS Innovations Group is seeking a talented and experienced Press Brake Operator to operate and maintain our press brake machines. As a Press Brake Operator, you will play a vital role in the production process by accurately bending and shaping metal components according to specified measurements and requirements. Your precision, attention to detail, and understanding of metal fabrication techniques will be critical to ensure the production of high-quality products.

Position Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, shape, and form metal components according to blueprints, drawings, or job orders.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and instructions to determine the correct bending sequences, tooling, and machine settings.
  • Perform machine set-ups, including selection and installation of appropriate dies, punches, and backstops.
  • Inspect and measure finished parts to verify conformance to specifications using measuring tools such as calipers, height gauges, protractors, squares, and machinist scale tape measure to ensure accuracy.
  • Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to achieve desired results, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of press brake machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
  • Collaborate with team members, including engineers and quality control personnel, to troubleshoot and resolve any production issues.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations related to bending angles, dimensions, and tolerances.
  • Knowledge of different types of metals, their properties, and appropriate bending techniques.
  • Familiarity with press brake machine operation and set-up procedures.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, height gauges, protractors, squares, and machinist scale tape measure to ensure accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot production issues.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Location: On-site in a warehouse environment at HIS Innovations Group Headquarters in Hillsboro, Oregon. The ability to commute to the site readily and reliably, or a plan to relocate to the area before starting work and independent of this role, is required.
