We are seeking a Water Utility Worker for assignment in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The selected candidate will i nstall, operate, maintain and repair water distribution infrastructure including water mains, service lines, hydrants, valves, PRVs and meters.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
This position has a pay rate of $17.50/Hr. **
Responsibilities
Performs routine service and corrective maintenance of water and wastewater systems
E stablishes and maintains effective sample procedures for water lines
Diagnose system operating problems; p erform necessary corrective and remedial activities
Cleans vehicles, heavy equipment, pumps, tools, and other stationary and portable equipment
Performs routine inspections of vehicles and equipment; performs minor maintenance and lubrication of machinery, such as changing oil and greasing equipment
Operates and maintains vehicles, equipment, and tools that are required to load, unload, haul and spread sand, gravel, dirt and/or waste products (i.e., sludge, product waste, packaging waste, etc.)
Digs and refills ditched and trenches
Maintains grounds, buildings, and lift stations; cuts grass, weeds and brush; trims trees and bushes; rakes grass, leaves, and trash
Ability to carry and respond to pages as requested by management
Ability and willingness to work on-call shifts, as requested, including being fit and able to respond to call-ins, in a timely manner
Performs other duties, as required
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
A valid Drivers License
Familiarity with hand and power tools
