Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled Water Resources Design Engineer to join our client's team. As a Water Resources Design Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and design solutions related to water resources projects.
Responsibilities:
Developing stormwater management plans and designs
Performing hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and analysis
Preparing engineering drawings, specifications, and reports
Conducting site visits and inspections
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards
Participating in project meetings and communicating with clients
Requirements
3-5 years of hydrologic/ hydraulic design experience, particularly knowledge of local/county government, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia guidelines and permitting processes for storm drainage design, stormwater management design, sediment & erosion control plans, bridge scour analysis, floodplain analysis and/ or stream restoration design.
A licensed professional engineer with a B.S. in Civil Engineering is preferred.
Other desired skills include: Rosgen Stream Certification Level 2 or higher, familiarity with project contractual requirements and experience working effectively as a liaison with Regulatory Agencies, General Contractors and Owners.
Some experience with project development/management is desirable.
Excellent computer skills, including CADD/Civil 3Dand/or MicroStation design software and hydraulic modeling programs along with Office products (Word, Excel, etc.). Excellent written and verbal communications skills are necessary
