Provides operations and production support by operating water treatment facility.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Monitors systems set points to assure a consistent flow and quality.
Cleans filter press.
Mixes chemical solutions, as directed.
Calibrates pH controllers.
Keeps work area neat, clean, and free of debris.
Complies with all environmental, health, safety and housekeeping programs.
Other duties, as assigned.
II. QualificationsA. PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS
Class “A” Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification or one year equivalent work experience.
Note: Class “A” Certification will be required within two years from date in position.

III. Physical Requirements & Work EnvironmentA. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
B. WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
If duties require entry to an arsenic or cadmium-controlled area, appropriate respiratory protection must be worn.
