Are you a hard worker with experience in the repair, installation, and maintenance of water distribution fixtures including the manual repair and installation of system fixtures? Join the City of Albany as a Water Maintenance Repair Worker Work! Don't miss the chance to get outside and act as "lead" in a crew in this position, which is critical to the productivity of the team, and be responsible for directing other personnel at the job site for the safety of employees, equipment, and the public.

Flexibility is key with a mandatory on call rotation and required ability to be available to respond for emergency services during adverse weather conditions and other situations related to public service.

Requirements

• These are the minimum qualifications necessary by law to be considered for this position. If you do not have the needed experience or equivalent experience required for this role, kindly consider applying for another position with us.
• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and two (2) years of full-time paid experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of water distribution system fixtures OR
• Four (4) years of fulltime paid experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of water distribution system fixtures.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
  
  

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Valid NYS Driver’s License is required at the time of appointment and for the duration of employment.
