We are delighted to be partnered with a leading clean energy company who are looking for an Operations Manager to join their team.


About the Role


Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Operations Manager will have the overall responsibility for managing day-to-day operations across two small facilities.

In this role, the Operations Manager will be responsible for management of an operations team, maintenance of the anaerobic digestors including all mechanical and technical aspects.


Responsibilities


  • Manages a team of employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, and disciplining employees, and conducting performance evaluations, apportions work between and directs the work of operations employees.
  • Controls operations costs and maximizes profits by gaining efficiencies in output of electric or gas flow.
  • Analyzes and develops solutions for any day-to-day operational issues that arise on site.
  • Educates operations team on the company safety program and ensures that the team complies with all plant safety, health, and environmental policies.
  • Develops maintenance plans for equipment and participates in oversight of outside maintenance contractors to ensure that they are working in a safe manner.
  • Monitor plant equipment and gas production of anaerobic digesters on a daily basis to ensure safety and compliance with operational parameters. Ensure that any issues are promptly reported and determine best solutions for resolving the issues.
  • Participate in plant housekeeping programs and material handling safety activities such as developing programs, policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Engage in the planning and execution of preventative maintenance activities.
  • Track repairs and scheduled maintenance though work management software.
  • Draft Standard Operating Procedures and Energy Isolation Procedures in coordination with the Senior Operations Manager.


Background


You will have a minimum of five years experience leading production/manufacturing operations in a similar environment, such as RNG, Wastewater, Gas operations, Terminal operations, or other similar production environment.
