Job Summary

This position will include reviewing and completing all warranty claims. This includes preparing, recording, and reconciling warranty claims and submitting them to the manufacturer in a timely manner.

Essential Functions

  • Review every warranty repair order written for proper completion, accuracy, and legibility according to the manufacturer’s policies and procedures, as well as company policy
  • Process warranty claims in a timely manner
  • Handle and resolve all claim corrections and chargebacks
  • Flag the technicians for the hours earned on the service they performed
  • Check each repair order against the vehicle’s service history to ensure warranty coverage and to avoid duplicate claims
  • Conduct weekly audits of the warranty receivables schedules, reviewing all old claims, and address any adjustments or write-offs
  • Assist service advisors in closing all open warranty ROs
  • Assist service advisors and technicians with any warranty questions
  • Maintain warranty training and certification(s)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; associate's degree preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Excel
  • Excellent customer service, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with dedicated attention to details
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Warranty Administrator required
  • Ford/Lincoln, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Nissan/Infiniti, Honda/Acura, or CDJR brand experience is highly preferred
  • Willing to learn different car brands

Travel Requirements

Minimal; will need to travel occasionally for warranty training seminars
