BERKELEY ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE, INC.**** **WAREHOUSEMAN A** **( Will also accept Warehouseman B )** **JOHNS ISLAND DISTRICT** **OBJECTIVES** - To assist in maintaining the warehouse and grounds in a clean, safe and orderly manner to enable efficient accessibility of electrical equipment, materials and supplies so that Cooperative and departmental goals are met. - To process material transactions accurately to ensure agreement and correctness of the various work order documents (Staking Sheet, Material Ticket, Job Analysis) **POSITION SPECIFICATIONS** **EDUCATION** High School Diploma or equivalency. **EXPERIENCE** Must have one (1) years of experience in electrical utility warehousing. With one (1) year additional experience in this job to become proficient. **JOB KNOWLEDGE** Must have thorough knowledge of identifying different types of material used on jobs. Some electrical knowledge is needed. Must have thorough knowledge of material usage, shipping, and receiving procedures. Should be familiar with RUS Construction Specifications. Must have knowledge of different accounts for issuing, returning and retiring material from work orders. Must be familiar with the safety rules and regulations in accordance with NESC and OSHA. **ABILITIES** **& SKILLS** Must have the ability to use some heavy equipment and light machinery. Must have the ability to use some office machines such as personal computers, adding machines, calculators, etc. Must maintain a S. C. driver's license. Must maintain a OSHA certified fork lift certificate. Must be able to proficiently use NISC on a daily basis. **CERTIFICATION** Must be Forklift Train-the-Trainer OSHA certified. **WORKING** **CONDITIONS** Inside and outside job. Must be available during weekends, nights and when severe storms exist. Climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 100 pounds required. Regular working hours with some overtime required.
