Overview:

The Warehouse Supervisor has overall responsibility for the receipt, storage and shipping of all raw materials, ingredients and finished goods, is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts of the above, as well as managing and scheduling logistics associated with shipping and receiving operations. This is a hands-on position that actively coordinates with the Production, Research and Development, Sales, and Marketing departments to meet order and sample fulfillment requests. The Warehouse Supervisor supervises and coordinates warehouse staff in a variety of forklift, shipping, receiving and warehousing operations to ensure timely order fulfillment in full compliance with good manufacturing practices, company policies, and OSHA, FDA and third-party audit requirements. Hours will range between 5AM to 6PM with a good possibility of overtime and weekend work.

Description/Essential Job Functions

· Prior experience working in a warehouse and supervising warehouse staff.

· Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced, accuracy-driven environment.

· Positive attitude, cooperative and collaborative approach with eagerness to work hard, learn from mistakes and be responsive to constructive criticism.

· Strong organizational and communication skills and ability to analyze problems, and define and take appropriate corrective actions

· Overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials, while ensuring efficient coordination amongst the staff

· Effective, proactive supervision and management capabilities to ensure continuing improvement of core competencies and department processes and drive efficient practices as well as proactively and effectively address performance deficiencies

· Monitoring and enforcing compliance with company policies and safety regulations to ensure the safety of all warehouse employees

· Train, mentor, and provide regular feedback to warehouse staff in order to cultivate their skills and expertise, enabling them to carry out their duties with utmost efficiency

· Manage and resolve any warehouse-related issues or conflicts that may arise, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining positive employee relations

· Consistently seek out opportunities for process improvement, and implement changes to increase efficiency and decrease costs

· Experience with ERP software strongly preferred

· Pull, package and stage orders for pickup/shipping in an accurate and efficient manner

· Run various reports for receiving and shipping (Excel, PDF)

· Receive goods in ERP system in an accurate and efficient manner

· Must be able to schedule carriers for shipping and receiving

· Manage warehouse schedule for shipping and receiving

· Print and fill out shipping and receiving documentation in an accurate and efficient manner

· Perform cycle and inventory counts on raw materials, packaging, and finished goods

· Organize stocks and maintain inventories

· Load and unload trucks in an accurate and efficient manner

· Inspect goods for defects and damages

· Organize space in the warehouse

· Label and tag all pallets of goods

· Other Duties as Assigned

Requirements/Other Skills/Abilities

· Good communication skills, both written and verbal

· Ability to delegate

· Excellent leadership and organizational skills

· Clear knowledge of warehouse operations

· Ability to understand recall system

· Able to operate regular stand up forklift, reach forklift, sit down forklift, and a pallet jack

· Ability to stand for long hours

· Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds consistently

· Must be able to work in a freezer for long periods

· Ensure finished product meets or exceeds all regulatory, industry, and customer requirements for food safety and quality. Maintain all GFSI, HACCP, food defense systems.

Requirements/Other Skills/Abilities

· Previous Food Manufacturing Experience Preferred

· Knowledge of GMP and food manufacturing

· Ability to do arithmetic in quick, accurate, and efficient manner

Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
