Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipping. The Warehouse Supervisor studies shipping reports, packing lists, bills of lading, invoices, purchase orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules. The Warehouse Supervisor also oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. The supervisor oversees loading and unloading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications and purchase order requirements. Also inspects material handling equipment for safety/defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair. The supervisor may assist workers in shipping and receiving activities. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the overall performance of the team and the shift.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Conduct, behavior and actions in accordance with Oxco core values of Caring, Creativity, Determination, Dependability and Teamwork

• Coordinate with Warehouse Manager, Manufacturing Director and Human Resources for appropriate staffing levels
• Responsible for employee scheduling including work assignments, employee training, vacations, employee breaks, and overtime assignment
• Completes employee timecards for the department and submits to payroll
• Coordinates department responsibilities and activities in a manner that ensures all quality standards are met and all shipping schedules are on time
• Establishes employee goals and conducts employee reviews
• Evaluates department processes and recommends and coordinates needed changes based on process analysis
• Schedules and conducts shift meetings
• Ensures that the computerized warehouse management systems (WMS), radio frequency (RF) scanners and barcodes are utilized to process orders, receive items into inventory and relocate items throughout the warehouse
• Trains and establishes safety training for all material handlers, supervisors, maintenance personnel, and others required to operate a PIT and any attachments to perform their jobs.
• Monitors the warehouse, plant and facilities for safety issues, housekeeping needs, maintenance needs and employee conduct and responds appropriately to facilitate corrections
• Trains and coaches employees to carry out work instructions as outlined in OXCO’s Quality Management System (QMS) and as identified in company and department KPI’s
• Reports any issues or concerns that arise during day-to-day activities to the Warehouse Manager or Manufacturing Director
  
  

Qualifications – Required

• 5+ years working in a manufacturing warehouse setting
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• HS Diploma or equivalent experience
• Ability to obtain forklift license
